If you are looking for accommodation with character and a place to get away from it all, you've found it!
Folly Cottage Bed and Breakfast at Barton St David is a charming new single-storey stone cottage with a woodburner and exposed timber beams.
We are in a very quiet and peaceful location and we have a pretty garden with a terrace which overlooks fields giving you fantastic views of the surrounding Somerset countryside. If you are a keen walker, a nature lover, or if you just like sitting and listening to birds, you'll love our location.
Our accommodation comprises two rooms which each have two single beds. They can either be pushed together and made up to form a King Size bed, or used separately as a Twin room. The accommodation is flexible and suitable for couples, friends or families.
We now have a special "guest's kitchen" so you can eat your breakfast, or prepare simple food for yourself, without having to worry about dancing to stay 2m away from other guests.
The whole property is highly accessible, with no steps, wide doors and hallways and a large wetroom in one of our rooms. We can easily accommodate wheelchair users.
The village of Barton St David is easy to reach (did you know it was home to two American Presidents? John and Quincy Adams lived here!). We are also well situated for the delights of the local areas of Mendip and South Somerset being close to Somerton, Street and the shopping at Clarks Village, Wells with it's lovely streets, market and Cathedral, and legendary Glastonbury (only 5 miles away). You can also take wonderful country walks literally from our doorstep.
There is plenty to see and do around here, with lots of gardens and places to visit a stone's throw away, and several local pubs - one of which that has been praised in the national press for it's food and character!
